Hidy Ho!

Well the poor kids are sick again Emily has been walking around with a towel on her nose for two days… she doesn’t like a runny nose! Dan woke up this morning coughing. Good thing i picked up cold med at the store! The good knock your butt out stuff too! LOL

My kieth.. my 11 yr old boy .. is about to turn 12!!!!! NOOOOO omg 12..  and dan starts kindergarten next year? amazes me how fast the time ends up going even when at the moment it may drag on!  The boy is going to have his friend come stay the night and have a pizza party and ps3 party!! lol we will let them just stay up and have fun…. maybe..unlimited pop?? i dont know this would be the big treat fro him. he only is allowed 2 a week!  well his grammy got him a new DS! oh man lol and he knows the present showed up and its KILLING HIM!!! haha well we went with it and got him a couple of games are self.  I think he also gets to bring the school hamster home for the weekend ! he loves to bring him home.

My poor dear husband is trying to quit smoking ; / oh man! hes out of tobacco now and has a few snuffs.. that’s like umm chew in a pouch that you suck on i guess.. so i cleaned the heck out of his area to get rid of all the left over tobacco and ashtray and sprayed the heck otu of it to help with the smoke smell. washed stuff around his computer table. its all nice a clean smelling now! I know that if hes ready to quite he will, hes quite some massive addictions in the past so its all about if he really is ready. if not /shrug no hard done and im just going to go with it. it would be nice if he quit for a lot of reasons oveasly but i also know that addiction wise.. this is the one i would prefer. i don’t want him stopping just to have the need to pick up a new one! i guess that would be my worry.

Well My garden is going nicely! my mystery plant i think is going ot die tho the wind was brutal the other day and broke it!!! and a bean plant ugg. the tomatoes are going STRONG! the carrots are sprouting and one has the carrot fuzz top starting OMG so exciting. the radishes are ALMOST READY TO EAT!! So we just started a second crop yesterday so hopefully its just a behind the first one. The Potato bucket experiment is going well. the top foliage is beautifully and healthy! its getting quite tall now, so i have a new potato sprouting in the window ceal so i can start another one soon. id like to see if i can keep a potato bucket going at all times!  t he lettuce is jus about at its peak i think lol but i keep stealing out side leaves to eat YUMMM and planted some new seeds about a week ago and the yare all sprouting. i actually had to thin a couple out ;( very sad.

OHHH and my new joy haha i ordered some stevia seeds! stevia is the new sugar sub. It is suppose to be 3x as sweet as sugar and able to just use the leaves in your coffee. of cause lol you can ground them down in your food prosser to make powder! so i have 12 seeds planted and 6 have sprouted. oh im so excited watching them. i know it will be a wial before i can use them im sure but it sure is great to think about a long term growing plant that i can actualy use daily!~ i do have to look up more about it and see if there are some good growing sites. lol i can just see us with a house full of sugar plants! hahaha

well that’s it for now OH YES! my friend Carrie found me on twitter! im so shocked catn wait to twitter with you!!!!! /hugs! im still in wow but scattered all over now. getting borred and trying an RP server now to find new life the man is now playing warhammer! lol cant wait to see how you and the kiddos are doing!

Update on the Monsters!

Well Here is the Girl! shes 4 now and mad as all heck that her older brother has now lost 2 baby teeth .. that means two visits from the tooth fairy! … she um.. tried to hurry it along and wiggle her own tooth out until we told her the tooth fairy wont come if she PULLS her own tooth out! this seem to have stopped that LOL.

Well he was not to keen on his picture being taken LOL but i GOT IT ANYWAY! we finally got his grades back on track WOOT and he has really become more responsible in the process. hes a good boy.. but getting that pre-teen .. ya ill do it when i want.. ugg .. i said do it now! LOL  hes got a good head of hair for rustling as you walk by

hidy ho! well lots of random stuff again to share lets see

new biggest thing for me is i am revisiting what i eat and the /cough lack of exercise in my life. I am so overweight that i have to start actively working on it. hubby finally opened up and told me how much he would like me to lose the weight also and i KNOW HOW HARD this was for him! if your a guy i know the pickle this puts you in. not a good one! how to say it with out pissing the girl off? HA well after another year of doing nothing about it and Finally becoming interested in it again he revealed his secret! I know that he loves me and still find me attractive because his affection level has not changed at all even with the weight. I told him that if he continued to tell me he didn’t care one way or the other then.. well what would keep me motivated when it got to hard for me? when hell my husband could care less why should i! it was an easy cop out and i used it!

I signed up to spakpeople its a great site. you set up your program and your goal time to lose your weight and it sets up your calorie chart for how much you should each each day to lose the weight… just make sure not to say you want to lose 195 lbs in one year !!! you will starve LOL i didn’t realize at first i had set it at this and moved it two 2 years and its now manageable at 2200 max calories a day.

It also gives you a fitness tracker and different strength activates to do. i have cardio and strength m/w/f  and you put in what you did and it saves all the info so you can look back at it. you can set up other goals for yourself like drinking 8 glaces of water walking  how ever long each day or stretching 5 min a day. you can make what ever you want and track them daily. and there are  A BRAZILIAN different community boards. from cooking to coping with loss. i found my Portland group, fibryomialgima group, over 30 needing to lose 100+ lb and a cooking one of course!

There is also!!! recipes RECIPES recipes! and a place to make your own to find the calories in your own recipes.

the calorie cut has been difficult because now i am really looking at everything i eat and how to eat for the whole day with out blowing it! i got myself a little 5 dollar scale to weight stuff on because… well damn it do you know how many calories are in cheese , IN JUST ONE OZ!! omg i just about died. i love cheese i did brake down and buy some shredded low fat cheese so i could still have it but I’m trying to avoid as many fat free things as i can because I’m not on a diet I’m changing my eating and exercise habits and the thinks i do today must be stuff ill be willing to do in 5 years. LOL and i can not put hubby on fat free diet the poor man would shrivel up and flout away!

yes.. i am hungry .. but I’m not starving! /cough not like i was the first few days when i had it at 1 yr and i was supposed to eat 1700 cal! oh lord! i was ready to jump ship and eat the sharks. thank god i found that mistake. the difference 500 calories make in your day is amazing.

.. i have lost 6 lbs in 1 1/2 weeks !!! so i think I’m stricken with it! and my husband i don’t think will let me bail out lol. i think hes shopping for new cloths at the moment.. LOL

OK OK on to GARDENING! and my freaky attempt at growing everything on my kitchen counter

so here it is. my red bell peppers , the seeds i stole from my store bought pepper

they are just about 2 1/2 weeks old and going strong it looks like. i had planted 3 seeds per pellet and all 3 sprouted from the 1’st and 3′rd pellet and i thinned to just the one … they already had very strong roots! but the 2′nd pellet has done nothing. they are under the plant light on the kitchen counter with the rest of the plants

My tomato’s who’s seeds i stole from store tomatoes also cheep seeds!

they are now 5 weeks old. I am not sure but fill like they should be bigger but since i have no other experience with it /shrug maybe this is the right size for there age. but they look strong and healthy to me….. we seemed to have attracted a lot of nats! oh man it was bad i had to put the lot of plants out side ( in the cold!!! oh lord! ) and i went to the garden shop 6 blocks from me!! i had no idea it was there , glad i found it. he gave me stuff to put in the soil to kill them because with so many he said they would be living in the soil now and the eggs waiting to hatch..blah! i didn’t want all my little baby’s to die! so /gulp i spend the 15 dollars on it. the plus? its a big bottle and you only use 1.7 in a gallon of water twice in the first week then reapply in 2 weeks. so this will last forever!

GREEN GARLIC SPROUTS! i have been reading about them on the seed sites i been looking at about growing your garlic and eating the shoots as they grow to get .. well like green onions but they taste just like garlic! so hay what the hell i have a draw for garlic atm so i took 6 cloves and planted in an aluminum foil pan and BACK 3 days sprouts were FLYING out of the dirt… right now they are only TEN DAYS OLD!!! wow. and ever bulb sprouted

now I’m looking up the important thing of.. when are they ready to be used? !! i cant wait!

oh and my beans.. well all along i have been trying to plant the things that we actually EAT and was looking at different bean plants on line and then thought..well what the hell i should grow the black beans we frigen eat already! so i threw 5 in a bag rapped in a wet coffee filter and BAM 3 days later i had some sprouts. i was supper excited! this was something i was actually going to work on to grow them right, i want these suckers to make it.. i dont know why i have taken a biger interest in the beans but .. dammit they will grow! so i took one of the 5 gallon frosting buckets i beg from fred meyers bakery and filled it 3/4 with potting soil and took a bunch of unfinished compost and ran it threw my “old” food chopper! to take it to a soil size .. my thoughts in the crazy move? it will brake down in the soil? like it would have in the compost ben and realise its goodness to my plants.. that’s what i hope anyways!

the kiddos? well they had a blast this halloween, emily figured out the door ringing and candy thing fast and well damn she can run fast to the next door! poor dan was scrambling to keep up! they got a huge hall and eat all the choclate first LOL now we have a huge bowl of suck on candys. my oldest the 11 yr old he went with his cousin tylor..more fun with kids yoru own age i guess! grr but he got to go to a halloween party with him! he had a blast also but no pics

ok i need to go to my work out.. ack the kids are going to hate me because they are playing are new ps3 game , little big planet. and LOVE IT.it a cute game lol i dont know if i like it tho becasue i have not been allowed to play yet!!!!

another day, another sprout!

so my compost is coming along nice and easy.. i hope that does not jinx me..  but i seem to have aphids living in it. Now i had wondered about this possibility when starting it but i had seen nothing on any of the sites i read for starting a compost pile or maintaining it. The aphids love are kitchen tho and tick me off to no end..sigh BUT they are free to live outside if they please! … until spring that is or they will eat all my new plants i have envisioned of planting! I’ll be googling some more on this to see if its something i need to do something about, i would imagine as it brakes down and the COLD they will fly away, if not im not above BUYING some lady bugs!

this pic was a few days ago and its not as dry as it looks and BEFORE the aphids seemed to have moved in. i wet it down some more today hopeing to ..i dont know drown them.. lol i dont think it works that way tho.

Well i keep the seeds from a red bell pepper from the store and planted some on 10-21 and on 10-26 one pellet had 3 little shoots coming up! wow.. ill have to pull two of them just to give one room to grow but i wnat to wait to see what one might be the best.  This was just a test for me to see if they WOULD sprout off or not… my cucumber ones did not and after reading found out i need actually harvested seeds for replanting because they must mature way past the eating stage…. so now that they have started HELL ill let them grow and see just what becomes of them. I think this is all great learning for me so come spring i will have a better idea of what im doing and how long i need to start my seedlings to go outside when the last frost has past.

… I just wish my basil looked better its leaves are not growing! the stems continue to grow up but the leaves are not getting bigger its making me very sad. Now i really dont have any idea when i planted it because i didnt write it down but its more then a month because the baby tomatos are almost that old .. maybe two months.. i should read up on it and see what the harvest time actually is LOL that would be the smart thing hu

I planted some pansies seeds .. i love those pretty little flowers so much! I have not read up on them like i should, but i seen the seeds on sale and just had to have them. Since my husband is wanting more house plants along with my new found gardening obsession i might as well go all out and look at the flowers that i love to but i felt a waste of space or time before… now I’m thinking of a cottage garden .. they are so very pretty and peacefully and i wonder what i could do with the front walk area with pretty, fragrant plants! …am i just spreading my self to thin ? lol oh well ill just learn about every thing i see and find the stuff i want to grow and see what happens  /shrug worse that will happen is stuff starts to die! and then i get to start over again

My parents are on the MOVE~! They have been working for this RV park for a year in Corpus Christie and got the joy of experienced THREE hurricanes..sigh..one which they had to evacuate from!!!! Now they are on there way to Dallas for a couple of days to see my brother who is huddled in a trash trailer until his house sells and the family moves up with him . We all hope and pry that is very soon. Then they are up to a RV camp …err in the corner of .. California, Nevada and Arizona just tucked into that bottom corner. they will be able to relax, visit her brother in cal, her son in Nevada, and go play in Reno! then when spring rolls around she will come back here to visit for a bit then they will head for new adventures.   ..(( I love pictures!))..

Poor hubby, in the last two weeks hes had 10 teeth pulled out! he is working out a dental plan with his dentist. They will be removing all his upper teeth and giving him a partial. Thank goodness this is the last of it tell the new year and starting of the new insurance payment roll over. then they will do the hard part of it. I think the plan is to take a week off of work when he has the top pulled so he can heal up at home. i don’t know how long before they can start fitting him for the partials tho…  AND THIS is what he will look like all week!!!!!

I have a meeting with the volunteer coordinator ( i think this is who it is ) Saturday at noon so that i can hopefully start volunteering soon! hubby wants me to work at the women and child shelter over here by us but i have to meet the guy at the downtown men’s shelter, i know hubby is uncomfortable with this but its during the day and he is being so so so nice to see me on a Saturday! I have been trying to work it out the last week and a 1/2 on how to get there during the week to see him. So this was a prayer answered and a fasting i didn’t have to complete to get an answer , thank you lord! I have never fasted before but i have read up on it and why people fast and was willing to fast this day to show god i was willing to make a small suffering to show him how dedicated i was to this and just needed help finding the way to make it happen. that morning he gave me the answer and saved me from my self imposed suffering. isn’t god great?\

Ok off to make dinner ! easy makens for the next few days since hubby cant eat!

update from the funny farm.

well.. fills like even tho i just posted i have so much more to share. first the scariest of the week.

My dad was in a car accident a few days ago. if i understand the facts right a guy ran a red light and plowed into a car in the intersection that then spun into my dads stopped car at the red light. he banged up his knee on the dash and his arm and neck on the air bag. he walked away tho which is a god sent right there, but later was hurting enough to send him to the hospital. After 4 hrs and from what mom said some really gross going ons in the waiting room they left untreated..sigh.. as a bystanders that are so many states away and can do nothing but fill helpless we all yelled for them to GO BACK!!! but dad fills ..i guess safe enough to wait until Monday when he can get into see his Dr for his muscle dystrophy. My fear is what this accident will do to his current condition with his MD because he has started to have a lot more problems lately, I’m worried this will just speed it all up.

so i am praying for dad to be as comfortable as he can be until he sees his dr and they can help him farther.

and talking of my parents! i believe they are leaving corpus Cristie on the 26th and moving there RV to Reno!!! they need a change of pace and some fun. My other brother is there training and so mom will be able to spend some time with him i hope between his current bachelor living lol.

now.. here. well poor hubby, he went into the dentist on Friday and had 7 teeth pulled. his teeth are so bad and hes as .. phobic.. about the dentist as me that him and the Dr set up a plan to take out the top teeth that are left and replace it with top dentures. At the same time I’m having the few bottom ones fixed that are save-able and getting partials for the bottom… guess what are tax return will be spent on this year! not a computer upgrade lol. So right now hes in a not happy state. they took 4 from one side and 3 from the other and had to do stitches because of a few of them. poor guy will be on soup for a few days.. which makes my cooking plan very easy this week!!!

We have picked up the Quicken money program for my banking..sigh.. i am not good at balancing a stupid check book this program is making me nuts BUT because i continually forget about non posted stuff and we keep bouncing every few months because of it iv agreed to learn it and give it a go. i am getting the basics of it but its not something im really good at so im so paranoid about the money! i way underspent on food shopping today to make sure i didn’t over spend and bounce us because i have put the info in wrong! oh man… but hubby is totally confident that i can get the hang of it and we will just triple check everything along the way tell i get it down pat.

now! on to my new hobby! hubby is just so / so about all this garden talk and newly sprouting plants all over the house.. so i asked him what does he want me to work on? and told him about winter stuff that’s going into the ground now. garlic mainly. getting prepped and planted for spring and hes all excited about this. so if i can get my hands on a dang shovel lol with out having to buy one for 15 dollars at Freddy’s ill get the soil ready and plant some. that would be very cool..but SO inactive on my part once its in the ground .. he would like Brussels sprouts, hot pepper, red peppers and spinach if he had to choose.  so guess what I’m looking into ? so right now the plants id like to master?

tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, peppers ( hot and bell ), spinach, garlic, potatoes and am formulating a lay out for the patio to try and make this passable.

at present i have my old tomato plant from this spring in the house and pruned down because it started to flower again! there are about 25 new flowers and one actual baby tomato growing on it! its horribly exciting for me ..because I’m a dork lol.. and i have 4 3week old baby’s growing under there light. there were 12 but i have gotten rid of the weaker ones because in the end i plan on only one or two of the best to grow to maturity … In the kitchen i JUST took an old long Tupperware container that lost its lid and turned it into a small spinach grower. put holes in the bottom and planted 3..two seeds in each hole I’m sure at least one will grow! i just want to see if it will take off inside or not… i have garlic ready to go into the ground if i can get the ground ready! .. i transplanted the baby houseplant into a larger container and brought in one from outside that the summer has burned up so i will see if i cant nurture it back to greenness!

he also stressed how much he wants REAL house plants! WELL! good give me another reason to plant more stuff WOOT. i picked up a very small baby plant today when shopping

just a post

Well wanted to come and let everyone know I’m still alive I’m still having this stupid flare up. stiff in the morning, exhausted in the evening and the brain is a fog! lol good think i don’t do anything technical

david and i started back playing world of warcraft a few weeks ago. Gosh what is the pull to this game! we have been playing it just before Emily was born lol and she will be 4 in dec. We have taken a few brakes from it for a month here a couple there but in the end we always come back to it. I know why i go back, its for the social network. A year and half ago we changed servers and we started are guild kiss my murlock! We David ended up leaving shortly after for a larger guild that was established and doing endgame stuff /grin that’s what he likes in the game lol I’m well away of it! I prefer running around by my self and having a chatting guild to turn to for socializing.

So the last few times KMM is what has pulled me back. i worked so hard to get this guild up and going and to make it what it is. some of the Nice’s on line people are there ( or I’m just biast! ) and have made my play time extremely enjoyable. Its different coming back to the game still being burned out ON THE game but needing to still reach out to the people that i have had contact with over the last year.. some  from the beginning of the guild! Each time i had to leave someone alse took KMM over and took care of it.. as hard as it was to watch someone alse running it i see that its made the guild as solid as it is. Now hairy is running it and doing a great job and this time i have no thought of tring to regain leadership hehe the guild has started running endgame stuff which is fun but..wow when you have to be at the head of all that its to much for me. I dont have the stamina for running that part of the guild.

..blah got distracted and my brain wont pick the track back up agian. oh well   My brother and sister in law are moving to texas so he can get his managment training lol its suppos to be 2 years then he will move to a new shop. hes been with the company working on the trucks for 5 years and has been talking about this for some time. they are in the prosess of getting the house ready to sell.. its a mixed time for M.. my brother is alreay in texas starting his training and she’s here alone with the kids lol poor girl! he will be comeing home in a week to help get the house ready for the market.. sigh shes over welmed tring to get it all done.

We made the cut

Well yesterday they laied off 10 ppl from my husbands work. they new that it would be coming because they shipped a lot of there work to another branch and what they had left was not enough to support the 17 employees. so some corporate big wig came in yesterday and called 10 of them in and sent them out. I am more relived then i know how to say that my husband was not one of them but .. also very bad for the other family’s that just found them self’s with out this job. My husband is having a very hard time with that, he has been at this job for 9 years. and a few of those that were laied off were there before him and almost all were his friends. You don’t work in such a small work envirment and not ‘know” all your co workers. Hes not one to talk about it like us girls but i encourage him to talk about it by asking questions about it but i don’t want to push it..sigh.. all i can do is give him the pampering that makes him relaxed and happy to help him make it threw this.

I thank the lord that we were spared the cut and spared the hardships that would have come are way and i pray that he is watching over the family’s that didn’t make it.

hurricane dolly

well it reach catagory 2 before it finally hit land 35 miles north of what they thought. the good news is its still far from were my parents are and its not going to get stronger.. the bad it is closer then they thought and the wind and rain is a lot worse then they expected. they didnt leave the island because they expected just minor winds and stuff that would be “fun” to be in.. now they are not so sure but they were saying the ferry and such were going to be shut down because of the water lvl. so they are just going to ride it out. i pray the waves do not get so high they go over the dunes and onto them… and they can always hide in the office if it gets scary in the trailor.

pray for the safty of everyone in the path of dolly to be safe.

sigh.. i may move back to blogger

i really like the look of this blog,  but i miss some of the other functions i had on blogger .. either I’m just totaly missing them or they are not here.. anyone alse use this wordpress free blog site that maybe can help me out here…… i cant mess with the fonts and size  or color or my post! i hate that so much!! i cant change anything in the web coding with out blah upgrading! AND i the blog stats are not what googles were. … am i missing something some were or is it just not available for this one that i picked ! oh what  a mess i may have made… i generally do when I’m bored and start changing things well maybe ill get some answers and if not i may move my blog back to its old home were i know how to work it!
~ edit ~ well my hubby told me how much he loves the look of this new blog and his opinion means a lot to me. so he is voting that i do the upgrade on it for like 15 for the year to get the extra perks. lol that’s sweet coming from a guy who up tell two days ago could not remember the name of it! LOL  so it looks like i may be doing that.  but my cooking blog stays on blogger because i don’t have to buy STORAGE for my photos

now back to the hunt on finding actual up to date min to min coverage of the hurricane.. good news is it dosnt look like its going to creep north at all so my pa rants are sitting on the edge of it and .. i do believe loveing the show and looking forward to the full impact on there part. thank god its just the edge i do not think there little RV could take that much battering!  here they were last night watching the weather..

ok i just have to say.. OMG LOOK AT THE TATTOOS ON HER!! lol my mom! she has a whole jungle on her arm and back..and leg! i need some close ups mom! this has been her work in progress for a long time now. all her animals over the years on there and other personal stuff.. but me? NOOOOO lol! i love her tattoos they are very beautiful and well done and quite the conversational starter /wink. well they have been down in corpas Christi for quite a few months now. they got there RV and wanted to travel and have been work-camping.. there first big job was this rv resort on the island helping to manage it…. ended up they practically run the whole thing because of flaky work campers and a owner that has to dedicate her time between running this and her son in Canada. they will be leaving in December tho for RENO! lol and some new experiences there.. i think mom wants to be a DEALER!! HOW EXCITING! well i know they will be ok now and I’m sure they are going to have a blast in the wind .. be safe MOM! love you!

school starts earlier this year BLAH!

Well here i was all worried that my oldest, who starts 6th grade next year ( did you hear me scream?) has to start an hr earlier then last year. Last school year he had to be up at 7 and catch the buss at 8:10 … now hes going to have to get up at 6:00 because school start at about 7…something lol I’m not exactly sure what time it starts i just remember thinking … omg my husband will have to get him up and out the door!…… he dose not wake me up tell 6:30, isn’t he nice .. he may change that when he has to wake the boy up! … damn now i have to go look up the school and find out what time it starts!

oh.. i got side tracked well i dont really think i have to worry about it because every day since summer started he has beat me out of bed! i stumble down at 6:30 to find …THEM ALL down here already.. sigh, no sleeping in? come on! lol i was hopping for some quite time hehe guess not. well now im off to find the school site
